The Flow · Your body vs your trading

You know when
you’re tilting.
Now you can see it.

The Flow reads what your wearable already measures and puts it next to what you actually did. No app to open, no forms, no “how do you feel?” buttons. Your heart rate on Caddie's panel while you trade, and your recovery and sleep lined up with your results.

Scorecard · The Flow
The Flow panel in the Scorecard: WHOOP connected with sixteen trading days matched, live heart rate going to Caddie, and a one-sentence headline written from the trader's own numbers.
The headline is written from your own numbers. On one real account, low-recovery mornings meant three times the trades for about half the money.

On Caddie

Running hot, in your peripheral vision.

Your heart rate with its last ten minutes as a line and your resting rate marked, and Flow Stress: how far above resting you're running, from 0 to 3. A climb right after a trade is the thing to notice.

Color appears only as a warning: amber from 2.0, red from 2.5. Pick the look in Properties: Phosphor, a one-color pilot's HUD, Visor, or Classic.

The gauges appear only while heart rate is arriving, and hide themselves when it stops.

Phosphor and Visor
Flow gauges in Phosphor (top) and Visor (bottom), calm on the left and running hot on the right.
Calm on the left, running hot on the right.

Flow Stress

What the number means

Your heart rate, smoothed over about 90 seconds, against your resting rate: WHOOP's 14-day resting heart rate, or, without WHOOP, the calm Caddie learns at your desk.

Above restingFlow StressReads
+3%0.5low
+7%1.0medium
+14%1.6medium
+21%2.0high: amber
+33%2.5high: red
+49%3.0high

At the low end it reads within about a tenth of WHOOP's own stress score. Above 1 it is deliberately more sensitive, because sitting still at +21% for minutes means something when you're trading. It isn't WHOOP's score and it isn't a diagnosis.

Which devices

Anything that broadcasts heart rate.

  • WHOOP, with Heart Rate Broadcast on.
  • Garmin: most recent watches, with Broadcast Heart Rate on.
  • Chest straps and armbands: Polar, Wahoo, Coros and the like. The most accurate option.
  • Oura: not live. It shows heart rate in its own app but doesn't broadcast it.
  • Apple Watch: only through a third-party broadcast app.

Your data

We never store a body number.

Live heart rate goes from your strap to your own PC and nowhere else.

For WHOOP, we keep only your login, encrypted with a key made from your own license key, so the Scorecard can fetch your recent days when you open it. Recovery, sleep and heart-rate numbers are never stored. Disconnect WHOOP and the login is deleted.

The Flow shows; it never acts.

Nothing here blocks a trade or changes a rule. The lockout still only enforces what you set while calm. The Flow is information in your peripheral vision, and it isn't medical advice.

Connect it, then forget it's there.

WHOOP connects once. Live heart rate is one click a session. Setup help is in the Discord.
